"FSU London Ladies": Maria Stamatogiannakis
“FSU London Ladies” presents its lady of the week, Maria Stamatogiannakis!
Florida State University has an amazing international program, and according to their site, “Florida State is among the nation’s elite for study abroad totals.” The London program in particular has much to offer, and the students that make up the program are intelligent, unique, and driven. So it’s my pleasure to feature these lovely FSU London ladies!
Maria isgraduating this semester and will be heading off to South Carolina for her job! She enjoys spending time with people she loves, sunshine, and corn dogs. Read her interview below!
Q: What is your favorite color? If so, why?
MS: Yellow! It makes people happy and is the color of a majority of cheeses.
Q: Do you have a favorite number? If so, why?
MS: I don’t think so. I thought about it and no number really jumps out at me.
Q: What’s your favorite food and why?
MS: I like potatoes because they can fly. But really, you can eat them mashed, fried, sautéed, roasted. Oh hot dogs are really good also! And corn dogs.
Q: Would you rather be in a real version of The Walking Dead or Jurassic Park?
MS: I haven’t seen either because I am uncultured…but Jurassic Park sounds less scary.
Q: What’s your favorite article of clothing and why?
MS: You can’t beat a good pair of sweatpants. Nothing else is as welcoming or accepting.
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
MS: A moose. They are so majestic.
Q: Who is your role model?
MS: Oprah.
Q: Would you rather have an animal best friend that could be any animal you choose and it would be intelligent and speak to you (and you could ride it around town if it is a large animal like a bear) or be married to someone with a hot body?
MS: Is this supposed to be a hard question? If my best friend/ mode of transportation was a moose I would be the happiest person in the world.
Q: Who is your celebrity crush?
MS: Rupert Grint OR Leonardo DiCaprio all the way.
Q: What’s your favorite place in the world?
MS: I definitely have what many people refer to as “wanderlust”. It is a dream of mine to visit every continent someday! Canada is definitely one of my top 3 favorite destinations though.
Q: Would you rather have a head the size of a tennis ball or the size of a watermelon?
MS: I prefer potato sized.
